Pirates of the Caribbean

My company held a party last night on a ship which was sooo much fun! It's for Christmas, by the way. We really had lots of fun. We travelled to nearby islands and came back almost midnight. Most of the people made the effort to dress as pirates which was cool, and there're prizes for best costumes too.

Had dinner, gift exchanging, and games which were kinda silly but fun still. i just love it. Hoping for more, but Christmas is only once a year, isn't it? Gathering with colleagues are fun :)

But as expected, all of us were exhausted, even until now. It's a Monday night, what do we expect? And we got to go back to the office on Tuesday. Poor us :(

The Idea of North

Before I forgot, I want to record down what I did last Saturday, watching an acappella concert by The Idea of North at UCC. They sing so well. Their arrangement, harmony, everything fits into place. i just like them so much. That's one of the best concerts I've ever attended. Thanks to Shirley for the ticket. Managed to get their autograph CD after the concert. Yay! Lovely group! I'm just so amazed. The effect is still on me till now :S

Nothing is so good it lasts eternally
Perfect situations must go wrong
But this has never yet prevented me
Wanting far too much for far too long.

Looking back I could have played it differently
One of few more moments who can tell
But it took time to understand the man
Now at least I know I know him well.
Wasn’t it good? oh so good
Wasn’t he fine? oh so fine
Isn’t it madness he can’t be mine?

But in the end he needs
A little bit more than me
More she needs security
He needs his fantasy and freedom
I know him so well.

No one in your life is with you constantly
No one is completely on your side
And though I move my world to be with him
Still the gap between us is too wide.

Looking back I could have played it differently
Could have played things some other way.
Learn about the man before
I fell I was just a little careless
But I was ever so much younger then.
I was so much younger then
Now at least I know I know him well
Wasn’t it good? oh so good
Wasn’t he fine? oh so fine

Isn’t it madness he won’t be mine?
Didn’t I know how it would go?
If I knew from the start
Why am I falling apart?
Wasn’t he fine? isn’t it madness
He won’t be mine?
But in the end he needs a little bit more than me
More she needs security
He needs his fantasy and freedom
I know him so well
It took time to understand me
I know him so well.

The lyric is just so good that I need to keep it in my journal. From Barbara Streisand "I Know Him So Well"
